Fiera di Primiero
This is the religious and administrative centre of the valley of Primiero and Canal San Bovo, in fact its name derives from its fair and administrative activity since XV century. Actually is is a typical Dolomites resort.
On foot of the Bedol, and of the Pale di San Martino the village has grown up for the big residential development. Fiera is an agreeable resort both in summer and in winter time, it offer numerous itineraries for walks and thanks to its closeness to San Martino di Castrozza (km 13) it is an important accomodation for skiers.
Fiera has maintained its characteristics of alpine village; it is formed from the square and the Contrada di Sotto, the Contada Lunga, the square and the Contrada di Sopra.
La Gothic bulk of the old Pieve, with its high steeple with the Sas Maor in the background, creates a wonderful landscape.
