Moena
Moena is the gate of the Valle di Fassa and signs the ideal boundary with the near Valle di Fiemme. Moena is also part of the Comprensorio Ladino di Fassa (Fassa Ladin Circumscription).
It lies on a wonderful alluvial valley surrounded with some of the most suggestive Dolomites Mountains Groups as the Group of Latemar, the Valaccia and the green Costalunga Pass. It is the main centre of the Valle di Fassa, known both in Italy and abroad as the "fairy of the Dolomites", to express its fascination and suggestion linking it to ancient tales.
In summer time it is the land of bikers, in fact this territory hosts the "Rampilonga", that with its 4500 competitors has became the main Italian bike marathon. In winter time, Moena lives in the heart of the Ski Area Tre Valli, characterized of a modern net of lifts and beautiful ski slopes both on the side of the Alpe di Lusia and the Pass San Pellegrino. Moreover, there is also an important cross-country ski centre.
